The existing winch was at its end of life and a replacement needed to be engineerd to fit in the original installation space. To adjust for the wish for faster hauling, veering and fishing in deeper waters, the speeds and forces needed to be altered. For added safety, two auxiliary winches were to be placed in the same small installation space. I altered the existing design providing calculations, 3D design and shop floor drawings.
